This very old kimono was worn by one of the emperors of China as a child. The exquisite embroidery in gold and silver threads is equally detailed on both back and front. The owner wanted to be able to view both sides. The kimono is lightly padded with cotton material to give it shape and to ensure the delicate silk fibers will not break from suspension.
